SAMPLE ITINERARY

Thursday, June 14, 2018 | Warm Up Run -  5-7 miles

Camp officially begins at 2 pm; if you arrive early, you may store your luggage at Scarp Ridge Lodge and enjoy a tour of Crested Butte. (transfers to the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport (GUC) provided)

  • At 2:00 p.m. we will have an official camp opening meeting to become acquainted with the coaches and Eleven Experience staff. You will also meet your fellow runners and review the itinerary
  • 3:00 p.m. Easy group trail run on local trails of about 5 miles. This introductory run will help you acclimate and stretch your legs after the day’s travels
  • Upon return to the lodge, you’ll enjoy some free time to freshen up and enjoy the lodge’s spa amenities such as the lap pool, steam room, rooftop hot tub or have a private massage
  • 6:30 p.m. Chef-prepared dinner at Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 8:00 – 9:00 p.m. Workshop with Stevie and Adam“Running is what I do when I am not working = I do it for fun!” 

 

Friday, June 15, 2018 | Gaining Mileage 8 to 20 miles (pending individual goals)

  • 7:00 am Chef-prepared breakfast at Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 8:00 a.m. Gait analysis and good running form
  • 8:45 a.m. Drive to trailhead
  • 9:00 a.m. Begin today’s 8-12 mile run on local trails Stevie, Adam, Mike and Eleven Guides.  Coaches and Guides will provide key running form pointers for all to practice during today’s run
  • 12:30 p.m. Finish run, drive back to Scarp Ridge Lodge for lunch
  • 2:00 p.m. 4-8 mile trail run OR free time to relax at the lodge to join a guided hike, SUP or MTB.  Keep in mind if training for a triathlon – we can arrange for a big MTB ride with the Eleven MTB guide staff
  • 5:00 p.m. Workshop with Stevie, Adam and Mike.  “Ascend/Descend/Navigating Terrain Skills”
  • 6:00 p.m. Happy hour refreshments and snacks at Scarp Ridge
  • 7:00 p.m. Chef-prepared dinner

 

Saturday, June 16, 2018 | Major Mileage Day 8 to 24 miles (pending individual goals)

  • 7:00 am Chef-prepared breakfast at Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 8:15 a.m. Drive to trailhead for one-way return run back to Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 9:00 a.m. Begin today’s 8-18 mile run on trails that bring us back to Crested Butte with a picnic lunch break. During the run you will practice uphill/downhill running technique
  • 12:30 p.m. Picnic lunch. Some may shuttle back to Scarp Ridge and others return as a continued run
  • 3:30 p.m. Optional 4-6 mile shake out run OR free time to relax at the lodge to join a guided hike or solo tour of Crested Butte.  Keep in mind if training for a triathlon – we can arrange for a big MTB ride with the Eleven MTB guide staff
  • 5:00 p.m. Workshop with Stevie, Adam and Mike: We will address trail running gear, hydration and fueling strategies
  • 6:00 p.m. Happy hour refreshments at Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 7:00 p.m. Chef-prepared dinner
  • 9:00 p.m. Optional night out on the town

 

Sunday, June 17, 2018 | Departure Day –  Confident Fun Run 6 to 10 miles

  • 7:00 am Chef-prepared breakfast at Scarp Ridge Lodge
  • 8:00 a.m. Guided trail run of 6-10 miles on local trails
  • 11:00 a.m. Camp Wrap Up!  Review what you’ve learned with your coaches while enjoying one last amazing meal with Eleven
  • 12:00 p.m. Check out and Departures (transfers to the Gunnison-Crested Butte airport (GUC) provided)
